How to Fest This Year.

All the information you need to enjoy this year's Festival.

DisOrient 2024 is a is a hybrid film festival with In-Person screenings February 17 and March 8-10, and On-line screenings, on Eventive, March 11-17. Our Eventive Box Office is open now for advance on-line tickets to both live and virtual films.

What's New This Year...

Mobile Tickets for LIve Screenings

  1. Mobile Tickets for Live Screenings. Purchase your tickets in advance and you will receive your mobile ticket via email or in your Eventive account under “My Tickets.” Entering your mobile number will enable text message delivery of your tickets.
  2. You can also print your tickets at home.
  3. Tickets and Passes purchased at the door can be sent to your mobile device. Printed tickets/passes are available upon request at Guest Services after completing your purchase in the cashier line.
  4. Check-in List. If you bought in advance using your name/email address and forget to bring your mobile/printed ticket, we can still check you in from our door list.
  5. We will have concurrent film screenings in 2 theaters. Please plan accordingly.
  6. During March 9-10, the Green Room tent at the Art House is exclusively open for pass holders to mingle and nosh.
  7. We have one FREE Shorts Program: Fil-Am Films. Tickets are required.
  8. We are offering a pass for virtual films only that is open to audiences in OR, WA, CA, and HI. Some films have additional geoblock restrictions. Please check the film page(s) before completing your purchase.

Live Screenings
(or In-Person Screenings)

  1. Live Screenings will be at: Art House; 492 E 13th Ave Eugene, OR 97401.
  2. We will be using both Art House theaters for screening concurrent films throughout the weekend.
  3. We encourage early ticket purchases due to limited seating capacity.
  4. Check our website for full the festival schedule and any program changes that might occur.

Eventive Virtual Festival

  1. We will be using Eventive Virtual Festival as our online streaming platform again this year. If you watched our virtual programming last year, you should already have an Eventive account.
  2. If this is your first Virtual festival on the Eventive platform, you will need to create an Eventive account to purchase tickets and passes and to watch all our films. (How to buy a pass info below.)
  3. We encourage you to check out this Audience Guide to Eventive as well as the Virtual Audience FAQs. You can also access technical help from 9am-9pm, 7days a week to answer your questions, by clicking on the “Launch live chat support”on the Eventive FAQs page.

Tips for Perusing the DisOrient 2024 Eventive Site After logging In

ON THE Film Page

  1. Click on tags to filter your search.
  2. You can search by keyword.

ON THE Schedule Page

  1. You can toggle the bar to “only show my tickets.”
  2. You can click on “Filter Events” to pull up the tags.
  3. You can star your favorites to aid in your film selection.
  4. The Menu at the top left corner will help you port to different locations: films, schedule, survey, donate, website, and our social media links.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Tickets

When you purchase individual tickets, they are transferrable.

  • 5 Ticket Packet: $55

Buy 5 tickets for $55. You can use it towards live or virtual screenings, and you can use part or all of the tickets for a single screening.

Passes

Passes cover admission fees but do not guarantee a seat. You still need to select the tickets for the films that you’d like to see. Passes are assigned to an individual. The pass itself can be transferred to another person upon purchase. Once tickets are selected, the pass and tickets stay with that person. There are several options for passes.

  • All Live Pass: $100
    • all live screenings at the theater Feb. 17, March 8-10
    • catered Opening Night Reception, March 8 at JSMA
    • catered Closing Night Awards, March 10 at JSMA
    • enjoy the weekend Green Room to rest and catch a bite between films
    • 25% off concessions at the Art House
  • All Virtual Pass: $80
    • All virtual screenings March 11-17
    • Festival Tip: Only one pass is required for an entire group to watch the films. Through coordinated watch times, it’s possible for a group of people to watch the entire festival with only one pass!
    • It is possible to “Transfer” a pass to someone else. Click on "manage” next to your pass in your Eventive account under My Passes. Note: Passholder tickets are not transferable.
  • All Access VIP Pass: $125
    • Everything in the All Live Pass (above)
    • Everything in the All Virtual Pass (above)

 

“Gifting” a pass or ticket to someone is a great way to share the festival with friends and family and share the films that you enjoyed.

  1. Go to Schedule | DisOrient 2024 (eventive.org).
  2. Select the film screening you would like to view from the schedule and click on “Select a Showing”. Then click on “Pre-order now,” or“Order Tickets.”
  3. You will be prompted to register with Eventive--enter your email address, and create a password, or select “Continue with Facebook”.
  4. Enter your credit card number.
  5. You will receive an email confirmation of your purchase with links to go to your Eventive account.

HOW DO I WATCH?

  1. Go to DisOrient 2024 Virtual. If you registered your Eventive account with your email address, log in with that email address. If you registered with your Facebook account, click "Continue with Facebook".
  2. Select a program you want to watch. This applies to the in-person screenings at the Art House as well as the virtual screenings that follow.
  3. Click “Pre-order now for free” or "Order Ticket". A ticket for that program will now be found in your Eventive account.
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 for other programs you want to watch.
  5. Go to your Content Library to see all your tickets.
  6. Select a program and click "Watch now". NOTE: Programs are only available to watch during virtual week March 11th-17th, 2024.
  1. The films are available to view from March 11 (12:00 am PDT) to March 17th (11:59 pm PDT). Most films are accessible in CA, OR, WA and HI, but check individual film pages for specific geoblock restrictions.
  2. All the programs you pre-ordered or unlocked can be found in your Content Library.
  3. Select a program and click “Watch now”.
  4. You will have 48 hrs to view the film. You can start, pause, and re-watch the film as many times as you want within the 48 hr. period.
  5. Festival Tip: You will have until March 17 @ 11:59 pm PDT to begin watching a film. Once you hit watch, you still have the 48 hr. window to watch the film!

Please download the “Eventive TV” app from the Apple TV App Store (accessible via your TV). You must have at least a generation 4 Apple TV to access the App Store.

When you open the app for the first time you’ll see an activation code. On another device, please navigate to watch.eventive.org/tv, then login if necessary and use the code to connect your account. Now, select from the available channels on the Eventive Apple TV app to begin watching. All of your unlocked content will be available on the app. If a program has not already been unlocked, you’ll have to unlock it on another device such as a laptop or mobile device first. 

If you ever need to re-activate the TV app, you can select TV app setup by hovering over the login ID circle at the upper right of the device screen. 

Open your Firestick or Fire TV app and navigate to the magnifying glass icon to search. Enter EVENTIVE TV in the search field and select EVENTIVE TV when it appears, next press the down button on your remote to navigate to “Apps and Games” where you will find the EVENTIVE TV app. You can also add the Eventive TV app to your Amazon Fire TV via the Amazon website by clicking here.

Select the app and install on your device. Once installed you will then see a 6 character code you will enter into your account settings at watch.eventive.org/tv

Once you have entered the code your Fire TV will show all of the content you have unlocked for viewing via another device such as a laptop or mobile device.

Search for "Eventive TV" in the Roku Channel Store on your Roku. You can also add the Eventive TV app to your Roku via the Roku website by clicking here.

Once installed, you will see a 6 character code you will enter into your account settings at watch.eventive.org/tv.

AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARDS

  1. For live screenings, you will find a “Vote” button in your Eventive account for the films that you have seen once your ticket has been scanned or you have been checked in by the ushers. If you don’t have an Eventive account, you can still cast your ballot. Just find the DisOrient staff member with an iPad upon exiting the theater and vote via Mobile Balloting within 30 min.
  2. At the end of each virtual film, there will be a ballot to rate the film from 1 (lowest score) to 5 (highest score).
  3. Please note that if you are watching the virtual films in a group with one ticket, you get one Audience Choice vote per viewed film.
  4. If you have an Eventive account, you can change your ranking on a film's ballot any time up through March 17th.
  5. Results will be posted by March 20.
