How do I enjoy the festival this year?

1. DisOrient 2021 will be entirely online this year—March 19-28. We have 9 feature programs, 4 shorts programs, and 1 panel discussion—all available on-demand for the duration of the festival*. All our film programs will have either pre-recorded or livestream Q&A’s.
2. All films will be accessible for viewing in North America.

*See You Then begins on March 21.

What is Eventive?

1. We will be using Eventive Virtual Festival as our online streaming platform. You will need to create an Eventive account to purchase tickets and passes and to watch all our films and livestream events.
2. We encourage you to check out this Audience Guide to Eventive (https://help.eventive.org/en/articles/4827539-audience-guide-to-eventive) as well as the Virtual Audience FAQs (https://watch.eventive.org/help). You can also access technical help from 9am-9pm, 7days a week to answer your questions, by clicking on the “Launch live chat support” on the Eventive FAQs page.

How much does it cost?

1. Tickets: $9 (https://watch.eventive.org/disorient2021)
2. All Access Pass: $48 (https://disorient2021.eventive.org/passes/buy/AllAccessPass)
3. An All Access Pass allows the passholder to unlock one ticket for each of the 14 online programs in the festival.
4. Note: Only one pass is required for an entire household to watch the films. You will need to coordinate your watching time, but it’s possible for a group of people to watch the entire festival with only one pass!
5. You can transfer your ticket(s) to someone else by clicking on the “gear” icon next to the screening(s) in your Eventive account under My Tickets (https://disorient2021.eventive.org/tickets).
6. It is also possible to “Transfer” a pass to someone else. Click the “gear” icon next to your pass in your Eventive account under My Passes (https://disorient2021.eventive.org/passes). Note: Passholder tickets are generally not transferable.
7. If you’ve watched a movie that you’d love to share with a friend, you can also “Gift” a ticket to someone.

How do I purchase single ticket(s)?

1. Go to https://disorientfilm.org and browse either 2021 Programs or 2021 Films.
2. From 2021 Programs, select the program you want to watch and click “Pre-order now” or “Unlock now”.
3. From 2021 Films, select the film you want and click on “Select a Showing”. Then click on “Pre-order now” or “Unlock now”.

How do I buy an All Access Pass?

1. Go to https://disorientfilm.org and select “Buy Passes!” button.
2. You will be prompted to register with Eventive–enter your email address, and create a password, or select “Continue with Facebook”.
3. Enter your credit card number.
4. You will receive an email confirmation of your pass purchase with links to go to your Eventive account.

How do I watch a program with my All Access Pass?

1. Go to https://watch.eventive.org/disorient2021. If you registered your Eventive account with your email address, log in with that email address. If you registered with your Facebook account, click “Continue with Facebook”.
2. Select a program you want to watch.
3. Click “Pre-order now for free” or “Unlock now for free”. A ticket for that program will now be found in your Eventive account.
4. Repeat steps 2-3 for other programs you want to watch.
5. Go to your Content Library (https://watch.eventive.org/me) to see all your tickets.
6. Select a program and click “Watch now”. NOTE: All programs are only available to watch during March 19-28.

How do I view the films and how long do I have to watch them?

1. Most films are available to view from March 19th (12:01 am PDT) to March 28th (11:59 pm PDT), and accessible throughout North America.
2. All the programs you pre-ordered or unlocked can be found in your Content Library (https://watch.eventive.org/me).
3. Select a program and click “Watch now”.
4. You will have 24 hrs to view the film. You can start, pause, and re-watch the film as many times as you want within the 24 hr period.
5. Note: You will have until March 28th @ 11:59 pm PDT to begin watching your last film. Once you hit watch, you still have the 24 hr window to watch the film!

How do I redeem my discount code for an All Access Pass?

1. Go to https://disorientfilm.org and select “Buy Passes!” button
2. Select “Buy Now” under All Access Pass
3. Click “Have a discount code?” link to enter your discount code, and “Apply”.
4. Then, enter your email address, or select “Continue with Facebook.”

How do I redeem my discount code for a film screening?

1. Go to https://disorient2021.eventive.org/films to see our 2021 film selection.
2. Select a film of your interest.
3. Choose “Select a Showing” and select the available listed showing.
4. Click “Pre-order now”
5. Click “Have a discount code?” link to enter your discount code, and “Apply”.
6. Then, enter your email address, or select “Continue with Facebook.”

How do I use the Eventive TV app on my Apple TV, Fire TV, or Firestick?

1. On the Apple TV, download the Eventive TV app from the Apple TV App Store (accessible via your TV). You must have at least a generation 4 Apple TV to access the App Store.
2. On the Fire TV or Firestick, enter “Eventive TV” in the search field and select Eventive TV when it appears. Next press the down button on your remote to navigate to Apps and Games where you will find the Eventive TV app. You can also add the Eventive TV app to your Amazon Fire TV via the Amazon website by clicking here.
3. Once installed, you will then see a 6 character code you will enter into your account settings at https://watch.eventive.org/tv.
4. You can also use AirPlay from a Mac or iOS device, or Chromecast from a computer or Android device, to output to your TV.
5. Note: Livestreams (including recorded livestreams) and pre-recorded Q&As are currently not available via the Eventive TV app. However, you can still use AirPlay or Chromecast to watch them on your TV.

How do I vote for the Audience Choice Awards?

1. At the end of each film, you will see a ballot to rate the film from 1 (lowest score) to 5 (highest score).
2. You can change your ranking on a film’s ballot any time until the voting period has closed.

3. Pre-recorded Q&As are free on Eventive, and will be available on our YouTube channel after the film festival.
