DisOrient Asian American Film Festival is a grass-roots, community-centered festival that explores the rich spectrum of Asian and Pacific Islander American voices, faces, creativity, and experiences. Our all-volunteer-run festival highlights little known stories of an extraordinary people.

As a volunteer, you will meet actors, screenwriters, and filmmakers as well as sponsors and other volunteers that support the festival. You may meet people who will become life-long friends.

Our volunteers are invited to enjoy the food and beverages provided in the Green Room before or after their shifts. In the Green Room, you will have a chance to meet other volunteers, sponsors, and the people who created the films featured. As well as enjoying the Green Room, volunteers are welcome to screen one movie on any day they volunteer, provided that seats are available.

You will have access to the following events: First, the Festival Opening Ceremony at UO 177 Lawrence Hall. Later that evening, the celebration will continue at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art on the University of Oregon campus.
