Ever wondered what other people with your same name were like? Korean American filmmaker Grace Lee does exactly that in this humorous and thoughtful romp across the United States searching for quite literally... herself.

Practically anyone growing up in a community with a prominent Asian American presence knows of at least one Grace Lee. This frank and witty documentary traces the filmmaker's journey into the Grace Lee myth (smart, talented, attractive, well-behaved) in search of her own identity. In her quest, she meets many other Grace Lees, some who uphold the image and others who defiantly go against it. Some Grace Lee's embody the model minority while other Grace Lee's burn down schools or save the world.

Heralding praise from film festivals across the nation, The Grace Lee Project offers one Grace Lee's perspective of what makes her unique, and the surprising and often inspiring lessons she learns from others who share the same name.

— Serenity Joo & Jason Mak

"In her small, witty autobiographical documentary, a Korean-American filmmaker named Grace Lee explores the personal and social ramifications of a name she finds oppressive."
— Stephen Holden, NEW YORK TIMES

"A hilarious and easily accessible documentary ... learning about American subcultures has rarely been this much fun or as informative."
— Steve Rhodes, INTERNET REVIEWS

"The Grace Lee Project by any other name would still be as entertaining."
— Cherryl Dawson and Leigh Ann Palone, THEMOVIECHICKS.COM
